SINGLING HASL

Looking for a manageable campaign game we came along this mini HASL published by MMP in Operations Special Issue #1. It looks interesting and has a fine map to play over, a single large play area of 31 hexes width (west – east) and 18 hexes depth (north – south). As the opposing forces are elements of two armored divisions the game offers a fair amount of AFV to work with on both sides.

A BLOODY HARVEST [AP8]

I have been looking for an all infantry scenario and I chose the following one for a training session with a pal returning to ASL. The scenario is set during the German invasion of Poland. This year November saw my first participating in the German ASL tournament. I met a lot of friendly gamers from all over Europe, got to play as much as 8 face to face games, and learned a few more tricks on how to use these complex rules in specific situations. All together I found it a stimulating experience that I definitely want to renew next year at Grenadier 2017. I can highly recommend this event. Thank you to Michael for his excellent organisation.

S15 HAMMER TO THE TEETH

CIMG6905

This ASLSK scenario plays during the first day of the Battle of the Bulge. This specific action took place in Bleialf, a town located in the German Schnee-Eifel region. The 18th Volksgrenadier Division was one of the first German formations to infiltrate the American Defences. There is a very detailed account of the action of the 106th US Infantry Division in Bleialf at the C.R.I.B.A. site that I can very much recommend to read.
